Senior and Junior Volunteers Welcome at Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary!

Because of the amount of time we dedicate to ensuring our volunteers are well trained and an important part of our health care team, we are looking for caring, dependable people who are willing to commit at least 100 hours per year – that’s only 8 hours per month! Men, women, college, and high school students 18 years of age and older (minimum age 15 for JV’s.)

Senior Volunteer Requirements

Our senior volunteers are asked to work 100 hours per year, which works out to approximately eight hours per month – two more hours per month than what is asked of our junior volunteers.

  • A personal interview prior to attending orientation
  • Attend an orientation seminar and safety training
  • Submit your information for a background check
  • No court ordered community service
  • TB test (provided by hospital)
  • Dues of $15.00 per year
  • Purchase of uniform ($15.00-$20.00)
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations of Tri-City Medical Center and Auxiliary

Junior Volunteer Requirements

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING JUNIOR VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME. PLEASE CHECK BACK WITH US IN FEBRUARY!

Young men and women ages 15 to 18 may apply for Tri-City Hospital’s Junior Volunteer Program. Orientations for new junior volunteers are held periodically throughout the year and applicants must attend with a parent or guardian. At the orientation, junior volunteers receive training in hospital procedures and are interviewed by a Junior Volunteer Advisor to determine their work assignment. After assignment to a specific department, junior volunteers work directly with senior volunteers and hospital staff.

  • Age 15 – 18
  • No court ordered community service
  • Potential volunteers must enrolled in school, grades 9 through 11 (Applies to JVs only)
  • One time dues of $10.00
  • TB test (provided by hospital)
  • Purchase of uniform
  • Volunteer a minimum of 6 hours per month
