Scholarship Program

The Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Program was established in 1973 with a $100 scholarship being awarded to a student nurse at MiraCosta College. Since then, $850,900 has been raised for scholarships to deserving students.

Scholarships are available in three categories.

  1. Students currently enrolled in a nursing school program at CSUSM, MiraCosta College, or Palomar College
  2. Current volunteers at Tri-City Medical Center that are enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking approved courses for a career in the medical field
  3. Current Junior Volunteers at Tri-City Medical Center who are graduating from high school and continuing their education at an accredited college or university

Applications are available December through February and are due by the last Friday of February.

A majority of the scholarships are made possible by private donors. For information regarding establishing a donor scholarship, or for general information, please contact Chairman Stan Kukawka at sandnukawka@cox.net, or leave a message in the Auxiliary Office at 760-940-3125.
